During our recent family vacation at Old Penang, we found an inviting atmosphere that catered to our needs as a family. Upon arrival, we encountered a small challenge with our initial room, but thanks to the attentive front desk staff, we were quickly moved to a more suitable space near the lobby for better Wi-Fi access-a necessity for my husband and me as remote workers. The wooden decor of our room reminded me of my childhood home, creating a nostalgic vibe. We enjoyed utilizing the lobby area for relaxation and capturing some fantastic family photos outside. Its convenient location allowed us to explore nearby tourist attractions without the hassle of heavy traffic. While the shared bathroom was adequately maintained, improved locks would enhance privacy. The security feature of the keycard entry when reception was closed added a comfort level that we appreciated, especially traveling with children. Old Penang offers a solid base for families seeking to enjoy their holiday, with accessible dining and shopping options nearby. Our experience reflected a balance between the charm of the old and the convenience of modern needs.
